Hallo zusammen!
Jetzt läuft es richtig schön. Wir präsentieren unsere dritte Runde wöchentlicher Bilder und hoffen, dass Euch die Aktion bis hier her gefällt. Zwischendurch werden wir weiterhin Making-Ofs, zusätzliche Geschichten und noch geheime weitere Beiträge bringen. Wenn Ihr Fragen habt, laßt es uns wissen. Wenn Ihr eine Meinung habt - natürlich habt Ihr eine! - schreibt uns einen Kommentar.

Tony

Noch etwas sauer über die lange Anreise, musste gleich noch ein Smartphone dran glauben. Tony saß vier lange Wochen beim deutschen Zoll fest. Wahrscheinlich wegen seiner HighTech Prothese. :)

Angered by the long journey, one more smartphone was destroyed. Tony was stuck at the German Custom Department for four weeks. Probably because of the high-tech prothesis. :)

Lilly

Diese Woche wollte Lilly hoch hinaus! Wie es dazu kam und wie sie zu ihrem ersten Flug aubrach, erfahrt ihr noch im Laufe der Woche.

Tidy

Es hat geschneit, endlich ist alles weiß gepudert und eine angenehme Stille hat sich über die Stadt gelegt. Ich liebe den Winter und Schnee ganz besonders! So konnte ein freier Tag beginnen, nach dem Frühstück ging es ab nach draußen in den Schnee, wir hatten mords Spaß, haben eine Schneeballschlacht gemacht und Tidy schmiss sich sofort in die Weiße Pracht um einen Schneeengel zu machen!

There was snow, finally everything is dusted in white powder and a pleasant quite aura sank over town. I love winter and snow in a special place of my heart. The right beginning for a day off and after breakfast we headed out into the snow. We had incredible amounts of fun engaged into a snowball fight and Tidy flung himself into the white wonderland to create a snow angel!

Nio

Auch bei Nio ist endlich der Schnee angekommen! Noch etwas wackelig aber gut gelaunt und motiviert rutscht er auf seinen neuen Skiern den Hügel hinunter!

Finally snow has come to Nio too. Still a bit shaky but happy and motivated he slips down the hill on his new skis!

Harrison

Harrison atmet auf, als er das Plateau erreicht. Die Spalte im Fels ist recht eng, aber mit Mühe kann er hineinspähen.  Mit spitzen Fingern zieht er einen Umschlag heraus. "Unglaublich", denkt er, "dass der nicht völlig durchnässt ist." Schnell läßt er den Umschlag in seiner Tasche verschwinden. Er will gerade absteigen, als er nach unten späht. Im Gebüsch hat er eine Bewegung gesehen. Mit einem tonlosen Seufzer steigt er weiter an der Felswand empor.

Harrison sighs in relief when he reaches the plateau. The crack in the rock is really narrow and it is hard for him to peek inside. He reaches the envelope only by the fingertips. "Unbelievable", he thinks, "that this didn't get totally soaked." Quickly he stuffs the envelope into his bag. Just the moment he wants to descent he spots something on the ground. Something moved in the bushes. With a silent sigh he resumes climbing the cliff further up the cliff.

Zach

Zach streift manchmal durch unser Haus, in der Hoffnung, was Leckeres zu finden. Ihr fragt Euch jetzt sicher: Was isst so ein kleiner Sackboy eigentlich? ALLES! Zach ist fast ausgeflippt, als er selbst gebackene Kekse vorgefunden hat... und nein, ich habe davon keine mehr abbekommen :)

At times Zach patrolls the house in the hope to find something yummy. You are probably asking yourselves: What on earth does a little Sackboy eat? EVERYTHING! Zach almost lost it when he found the home made cookies... and no: I never saw any of them after this. :)

Making Of: Harrison's Leather Jacket

Harrison friert, seit es Winter wird. Naja, ich hatte das Gefühl, dass ihm kalt sein muss ohne Pullover oder Jacke. Ich habe daher eine Lederjacke genäht. Das 'Making Of' davon bekommt Ihr heute.

Ich habe erstmal das richtige Material eingekauft: Kunstleder auf einer dehnbaren Basis aus dem Stoffladen für 0,90 €. Ich habe nur einen 10 cm breiten Streifen gekauft, weil ich mehr nicht brauchte. Die Breite des Ballens war - wie üblich 1,40 m. 

Mein Schnittmuster stammt in der Grundform aus einem Handarbeitsbuch aus den 80er Jahren. Ich habe den Schnitt eines Hemdes ausgesucht. Bei Schnittmustern ist neben der Texterklärung und dem großen Schnittmusterbogen für das fertige Kleidungsstück normalerweise eine kleine Schemazeichnung der Schnittteile zu finden, die den Überblick erleichtert. Diese Zeichnung habe ich eingescannt und dann in Photoshop auf die richtige Größe gebracht.

Dazu habe ich sie erst auf die richtige Breite skaliert, indem ich Hilfslinien angelegt habe. Ich wollte eine Hälfte etwas breiter als 4 cm einrichten. Harrisons Schulterbreite brauchte mindestens das für ein Hemd. Durch Skalieren in x und y Richtung blieben die Proportionen erhalten. Mir war das Hemd allerdings für mein Projekt zu kurz. Daher habe ich das Muster in Photoshop noch in die Länge gezogen. Dann habe ich mein neues Schnittmuster ausgedruckt.

Weil Harrison ein überproportional breites Kreuz hat, habe ich das Muster dann noch um kleine Ecken an den Vorder- und Rückteilen und den Ärmeln erweitert.

Ich habe alle Teile aus dem Kunstleder geschnitten, mit schmalen Nahtzugaben. Nach dem Zusammennähen der Einzelteile habe ich die Nähte jeweils abgesteppt. Damit ist die Optik schöner und die Nähte liegen flach. Die Ärmel einzunähen ist bei solchen Projekte immer die größte Herausforderung.

Weil ich mit Kunstleder gearbeitet habe, habe ich von Hand genäht und lange Stiche gemacht. Macht man zu kleine Stiche, perforiert man den Stoff. 

Das Kunstleder ist von innen unterlegt mit schwarzem Stoffuntergrund. Daher habe ich die Jacke nicht gefüttert. Die offenen Stoffkanten sind auch nicht gesäumt, weil der Stoff bei glatter Schnittkante nicht ausfranst.

Das Kunstleder ist leicht dehnbar, was das An- und Ausziehen erleichtert.

Jetzt kann ich Harrison beruhigt nach draußen lassen, auch wenn es kalt ist oder regnet. Meint Ihr, die Jacke steht ihm?

Er hat schon seit ein paar Wochen einen Pullover und ein Paar Socken, handgestrickt von mir natürlich.

Harrison was feeling cold as winter came around. Well, I was feeling that he must be cold without a pullover or jacket. That's why I made him a leather jacket. This is the making of for you.

I bought fitting material first. For 0.90 € I bought a strip of fake leather 10 cm wide. The bale is 1.40 m long so I ended up with a long strip. More I did not need.

The base for my pattern was out of a craftsbook from the 80ies. I chose the pattern for a shirt. In sewing patterns you find a written explanation of the procedure, the large cutting samples and a small sketch of all the pieces for overview. I scanned this smaller sketch and scaled it in Photoshop to get the correct size.

I first adjusted it to the correct width that I wanted to be a little over 4cm for half the shirt. This was due to Harrison's shoulder width. By scaling to the x and the y direction simultaneously the proportions remained the same. Then I thought the jacket would end up being too short so I stretched the pattern lengthwise. Then I printed the pattern.

I then added in extra space for his relatively wide chest on the front, the back and the sleeves.

I cut all pieces from the faux leather with added seam allowance. After joining the seams I worked decorative stitches over the seams, folding the seam allowances back. This was for the realistic look as well as making the seams lie flat. The biggest challenge is sewing in the sleeves with projects like this.

Since I used faux leather I worked by hand and made long stitches. If you make your stitches too short you will perforate the material.

The material has a bottom layer of black fabric. Therefore I could go without lining the piece. The open cut edges do not fray when they are cut smoothly. The material is somewhat stretchy which makes it easier to get Harrison in and out of the jacket.

I can now let him go out even if the weather is not so fair and cold or rainy. Do you think the jacket is his style?

A few weeks ago he already got a pullover and a pair of sock, handknit by me, of course.

Woche 2 - the action beginns

Zach

Jetzt weiß ich, warum Luigi Zach bei seiner Ankunft gleich verwarnt hat. Erwische ich ihn doch echt mit einer Schere an einer meiner Orchideen. So ein Rüpel!

Now I know why Luigi warned Zach at his arrival. Not much later I catch him with a pair of scissors on my orchid. What a brat!

Nio

Herbstwetter im Januar? Nio wundert sich, wochenlang nur graue Wolken und Regen... schon wieder ein neuer Fluß mitten durch seinen Nachhauseweg, wo die nur immer plötzlich herkommen?
Autumn weather in january? Nio is wondering, so many grey clouds and rain lasting for weeks... another river apears, cutting his way home, where do they always come from so suddenly?

Lilly

Als wir letzte Woche durch die Märchenbücher blätterten, kamen wir auch an einem anderen bekannten Märchen vorbei. Lilly konnte gar nicht anders und wünschte sich einen roten Umhang. Nur das mit dem bösen Wolf, dass sollte ich schnell vergessen ;)

When we had a look through those fairy tales last week we also stumbled across another famous tale. Lilly immediately wanted a red cape. Only the part with the big bad wolf I should forget real fast ;)

Harrison

 

Harrison ist mit vollem Herzen bei seiner Kletterpartie. Nicht ganz sicher, was ihn oben erwartet, ist er gespannt es herauszufinden. Die Hinweise waren rar gesäht aber er erwartet, eine wertvolle Überraschung. Rock Climbing ist in letzter Zeit nicht gerade seine Stärke, aber er ist froh, dass er wieder mit dem Training angefangen hat. Als es zu regnen beginnt, wird die Felswand rutschig und Harrison beginnt, sich zu fragen, ob man jedem Hinweis sofort nachgehen sollte.

Harrison is passionate about this climb. Not quite sure what will await him at the top he is striving to find out.The hints were sparse but he is expecting a valuable surprise. Rock climbing is not his strong point lately but he is glad he has been getting back to exercising lately. When the rain starts, the rock gets slippery and Harrison wonders if it really is worth it to follow leads right away.

Tidy

"Ich hab schon einmal angefangen...!" mit diesem Satz wurde ich diese Woche in meiner Küche begrüßt. Wir hatten geplant meinem Mann einen Geburtstagskuchen zu backen und der kleine Kerl hat dann schon mal eifrig Sahne geschlagen und in der gesamten Küche verteilt, ach welch ein Spaß!

"I started allready...!" with these words I've been welcomed to my kitchen today. We'd planned to bake a birthdaycake for my husband and the little fellow was so keen to whip the cream and messed up the whole kitchen, oh what a joy!

Making Of: Tony Foto Woche 1

Hallo zusammen,

hier möchten wir euch ein kleines Making of Video zeigen. Das Video ist jetzt nicht das Beste, da es das erste dieser Art von Heinrich ist.

Video ist überwiegend um 800% beschleunigt und zeigt wie aufwendig es sein kann, eine Foto Idee auch im Kleinen um zu setzen.

Nicht zu sehen aber im Video vermerkt sind die Feuerlöscher. Diese wurden leider so platziert, dass sie auf dem Video nicht zu sehen sind. (Eigenschutz geht IMMER vor!)

here we want to show you little making of video. The video is not the best this time as it is the first Making Of by Heinrich.

The video is accelerated by 800% for the most part and shows how complicated it can be to realize a photo idea even at a small scale.

But we need to mention as we do in the video in the German subtitles that there are of course fire extinguishers. These were unfortunately placed so that they are not visible on the video. (Self-protection ALWAYS goes first!)

Harrison

Nach einem langen Marsch lehnt Harrison sich an den Stamm eines großen Baumes. Nach mehreren Monaten, die er nicht mehr vom Schreibtisch weggekommen ist, ist eine Wanderung in diesem Gelände ein Stück Abenteuer für sich. Aber, das sagt er sich immer wieder, wenn er nicht langsam wieder in Form kommt, wird er beim nächsten echten Problem kläglich versagen. Es gibt zwei Arten von Archäologen. Die, die über Schätze lesen und die, die Helden sind. Harrison atmet tief ein und aus. Held zu sein, bedeutet, auch mal ins Schwitzen zu kommen. Er muss es sich nur schön reden.
After a long march Harrison leans against the trunk of a large tree. After month of not getting out of the office this hike is taking its toll on him and turns into an adventure of its own. But, he keeps repeating to himself, if he does not manage to get back into shape finally, he will fail in the next real problem. There are two types of archeologists. Those that read about treasures and those that are heros. Harrison breaths in and out deeply. Being a hero means to break into sweat every once in a while. He just has to talk himself through it.

Ich musste ganz schön Überzeugungsarbeit leisten Tidy aus seiner Verpackung zu locken, aber als er dann einmal draußen war, war das Eis gebrochen! 
I had a really hard time to persuade Tidy to come out of his packaging, but when he finally appeared the ice was broken!

Tony

Nachdem Tony über vier Wochen Anreise zu mir hatte und über 10.000 km Strecke zurück legen musste, hat er es an Silvester so richtig krachen lassen! :)

Tony has exaggerated a little bit on New Years Eve! :) He travled 4 weeks and over 10,000 km.

Nio

 

Kaum angekommen und aus der Verpackung gestolpert, musste sich Nio schon selbst reparieren! Aber geschickt wie er ist, wußte er sich natürlich zu helfen und stand schnell wieder auf beiden Füßen. ;-)
Barely arrived and stumbled out of the box, Nio already had to fix himself! But as a smart man of resources, he quickly stood on his both feet again. ;-)

Es geht los! Wir können es kaum noch erwarten, also sind wir vermutlich gespannter, als Ihr, aber wie dem auch sei: Hier ist das, was Euch in den nächsten 52 Wochen erwartet!

Von jetzt an durch das ganze Jahr 2013 präsentieren wir an jedem Sonntag von jeder Figur ein Bild oder eine Bildergeschichte. 52 mal. Auch zwischendurch gibt es sicher immer mal was zu berichten. Wir freuen uns also, wenn Ihr zahlreich vorbeischaut, mit uns diskutiert, über uns sprecht, unsere Facebook-Seite liked und regelmäßig besucht und überhaupt dazu beitragt, dass dieses Projekt ein Erfolg wird.

So ein Projekt hatte ich schon lange vor und ich freue mich nun sehr, es endlich zu starten gemeinsam mit so tollen Leuten! Die Figur habe ich gewählt auf Grund meiner Vorliebe für Filme von Tim Burton und seines gelungenen Werks #9. Außerdem ist die 9 meine Glückszahl und Nio passt sehr gut ins Konzept meiner vielen Ideen für Szenen, in denen ich ihn die Welt entdecken und lebendig werden lassen möchte.

A project like this was on my mind for a while and I am now very happy to finally kick it off with such great people! I chose the character because I fancy movies by Tim Burton and love his great work on #9. In addition 9 is my lucky number and Nio fits the concept of all my ideas for scenes in which I will let him discover the world and let him come to life.

Tony wird mich bei meinem Alltag begleiten. Hier werden sicher ein paar interessante Aufnahmen entstehen. Hin und wieder wird er auch in seiner eigenen Welt zu finden sein.


Tony will be a companion in my everyday life. Here some really interesting photos will come to life. Every once in a while he will be found in his own world as well.

Wie man sieht, wir haben Spaß und den wollen wir 2013 mit euch teilen. Als Claudia mich fragte ob ich Interesse an einem Projekt dieser Art hätte war ich sofort dabei. Ein passender Partner war schnell gefunden "TIDY Alias WALL.E" ist bei mir eingezogen und nun freuen wir uns im nächsten Jahr ein paar schöne Momente in Bildern zum Besten zu geben! 

As you can see we are having fun and we want to share it with you in 2013. When Claudia asked me if I was interested to share a project in this style I was in it right away. I found a worthy partner quickly. "TIDY aka WALL.E" moved in with me and now we are eager to present a few beautiful moments in photos throughout the coming year.

4. Feli und Lilly Kartonella

Danbo wurde und wird häufiger wegen seines niedlichen Aussehens als Fotoobjekt genutzt. Allerdings sind mir in der ganzen Zeit bisher nur wenige Danbos mit Verkleidungen aufgefallen. Darum habe ich mich dazu entschlossen Lilly ins Leben zu rufen und mit ihr eine ganze neue Welt zu entdecken, die es mit den normalen Danbo-Bildern noch nicht gab.


Dabo has been and will be used in photography a lot because of its cute looks. When I researched the extend of this I found only few Danbos with dress up. Therefore Lilly jumped out of my imagiantion and into life to discover a whole new world together that was non-existant in previous Danbo-photos.




5. Frauke und Harrison

Harrison hat den Anspruch, in seiner eigenen Welt zu leben, in einer Welt, in der niemand auf den ersten Blick bemerkt, dass er nur 30cm groß ist. Er ist geschickt darin, sich in Szene zu setzen und plant neue Reisen um die ganze Welt. Er wird nicht nur durch den Jungle reisen, sondern auch zu den Ägyptern, nach Afrika, und natürlich wird er Schätze finden. Er wird seine Abenteuer mit Euch teilen und hat mich gebeten, Berichte zu schreiben und Bilder aus seinem Leben zu zeigen. Ich stelle mich der Aufgabe und werde Euch durch das Jahr 2013 hindurch mit frischem Material versorgen. Behaltet Harrsion im Auge, auch wenn es nicht leicht wird, ihm zu folgen.

Harrison claims to live in his own world, in a world that no one will notice his size - or lack thereoff - at first glance. He is only one foot tall. He cleverly inscenes himself. He will not only fight his way through the jungle but plans trips to Africa, Egypt and so on. And of course he will find treasures. He will share his adventures with you and asked me to write his reports and show photos. I am taking on the challenge and will serve the story fresh throughout the year 2013. Keep an eye on Harrison, even if it will not be easy to keep up with his pace.

6. Christoph und John

Als John aufwacht, ist er in einer anderen Welt. Sie ist von sehr großen Menschen bevölkert und er findet sich nicht zurecht, ist orientierungslos und sieht sich in Gefahr. Außerdem hat er das Gefühl, beobachtete zu werden. Sein Gefühl trügt nicht. Während er sich durch den Großstadtjungel schlägt, sieht Christoph ihm über die Schulter. Bei der ersten Begegnung mit Christoph erhielt er von ihm einen verknitterten Zettel, auf dem folgende Zeilen zu lesen waren:
"Hörst du es schrei'n? Das Kind in dir, jenseits der Stille.
Es spielt allein, mit dem Gedanken an ein, besseres Leben."
John, plötzlich allein und aus seiner Routine gerissen, beginnt, seine Taten der Vergangenheit in Frage zu stellen und sich in tiefsinnige Grübeleien zu versetzen. Begleitet John, den Soldaten ohne Einsatzbefehl, in seinem Jahr gefüllt mit neuen Erfahrungen und Selbstfindung.

When John wakes up, he finds himself in another world. It is populated by large people and he does not find his way, has lost his orientation and sees himself in danger. In addition he has the feeling that he is being watched. His feeling is not wrong. While he fights through the jungle of metropolis Christoph looks over his shoulder. At his first encounter with Christoph he gets handed a crumpled piece of paper that says "Do you hear it scream? The child inside of you, beyond the silence. It plays alone, with the thought, of a better life." John, suddenly alone and ripped out of his routine, starts to question his deeds of the past and sinks into deep though. Be a companion of John - the soldier without mission - in his year of experience and self finding.

Zachory ist von seinem Little Planet in meine Welt geflohen, um Abenteuer zu erleben. Als ziemlicher frecher und vorlauter Kerl erlebt er so manche Überraschung. Er muss sich also nicht wundern, wenn manches Abenteuer anders aus geht, als er es geplant hat. Da er sich nun mal meine Welt ausgesucht hat, werde ich versuchen, ihm seinen Aufenthalt so angenehm wie nur möglich zu machen.

Zachory fled his Little Planet into my world to live through some adventures. As a pretty fresh and cheeky guy he gets into many a surprise. He does not have to be surprised when some adventures end differently than he had planned. Since he chose my world to life in, I will try to make his stay as pleasant as possible.
