Dr. Lilly Jones - Teil 2

An der Ausgrabungsstelle angekommen, begrüßte sie zuerst den Ausgrabungsleiter. Ein etwas älterer Herr, dessen Lebensaufgabe darin bestand einen bestimmten Saurier hier in der Region nachzuweisen, um damit dann auch die klimatischen Veränderungen hier in der Region über Jahrmillionen aufzuzeigen. Seine Krawatte hing auf halb acht und die Haare waren zerzaust. Lilly mochte ihn auf anhieb. Überall knirschte es, denn die Wüste war schon dabei das Lager wieder für sich zu gewinnen. Jedoch freute sich Lilly schon auf die Zeit hier, auch wenn es bedeuten würde auf Annehmlichkeiten, wie ein Bett, verzichten zu müssen. Der Gedanke in der Nacht ungestört den Sternenhimmel betrachten und dem Lauf der Zeit zuschauen zu können, ließ sie lächeln. Aber zuerst ging es an die Arbeit. Schnell kontrollierte sie noch einmal ihre Ausrüstung, bevor es losging.

Arriving at the excavation site, Dr Lilly Jones greeted the director of excavations. A somewhat elderly man, who's main task in life was to prove and verify one kind of dinosaur here in this area. With them, he wanted to explain climatic changes of this region over the millennia. His tie was a bit askew and his hair quite tousled. She liked him from the very first moment. Everything seemed to crunch with sand as the desert was already claiming the land of the excavation site back.  But Lilly really looked forward to her time here, even if that meant to give up her few amenities such as a warm, feathery bed. Thinking about the night and watching the stars passing by just filled her with joy. She smiled. But first things first, there was work to do. With brusque, skilled hands she checked her equipment and off she went.
